I will never forget that day as I was home drinking my coffee and people in Cafemom were posting endless chats about the World Trade Tower. I remember turning on the television to see that the tower was hit and burning. After watching the second plane hit I froze in fear wondering if I should fetch my daughter from school. I watched the devastation from home as the towers crumbled to the ground then the aftermath of dust, smoke, and debris.

When I think about 9/11 I think of how we are blessed to live in a free country. I think how the world still struggles with so much anger and hatred. I still wonder today if peace will ever be a part of our world. This tragedy along with many others are reminders we live in an unpredictable place on this earth. I hope I never have to witness something like this again.

    Tell your 9/11 story.

Zen as Shit

The Group Focus and Motto

I was blessed to be a part of a unique group of ladies called Wild Bitches that originated from Cafemom many moons ago. I still stay connected with these fine ladies through the Facebook group. What makes them interesting is they are very open, blunt, and call it like it is. Some people might find them a little too bold, offensive, or even vulgar. The truth is these ladies are caring, passionate, and give you their best selves if you are honest and accept them for who they are. People like to think that women that curse or tend to be on the rough side are immature, crude, and reckless. This is not true.

The ultimate goal is to be sure everyone has a place that fits their personality and lifestyle. While most people focus on basic general self-improvement (psychological direction) some prefer spiritual or religion. I wanted to open an option for ladies that want to focus on self-improvement that prefer a different approach.

The group is open for discussions, sharing, and devotions based on the journals created by Monica Sweeney. The books we will follow are: Find Your Fucking Happy, Zen as Fuck, and Let That Shit Go.
